Covington - Tours and Other Local Attractions

The Covington/Newton County Visitor Information Center has a self-guided walking or driving tour brochure available for tourists who enjoy historic homes and other interesting sites. All of the homes are private residences but with prearranged reservations through the Center, some of these homes are available for tours. The Center will make your reservations with the homeowners.

The Historic Newton County Courthouse is open Monday through Friday and welcomes visitors.

Fox Winery, which has won awards for the wines it produces, is open Wednesday through Sunday for tours and tasting. The Winery is located on Highway 11 about five miles east of Covington.
